Fun with Friends....

We had a couple of fun play dates with Anna and Natalie this pasted week.  On Wednesday we met up with them at a playground for a couple of hours.  On Thursday we went to the zoo for a afternoon.  Finally we took a road trip on Saturday to were they make Velvet Ice Cream.  We enjoy a nice lunch, feeding the ducks, taking a the nature hike and playing on the playground.  But the best part was of course the Ice Cream (for Dana and I). We had a great weekend and enjoy our time with our friends.  Thanks so much Dana, Natalie, Anna, and Heath for putting up with us on Saturday afternoon.

Mom's supervision

Daddy had some work tonight and Kurt really needed to go fishing. So I told the boys I will take them to the pond.  The boys didn't do to bad under Mom's supervision...What do you think???

Bass for each...

One evening the boys headed to the pond to do some fishing.  During the day Kurt and Luke made the decision to use the squid bait they got at the beach.  Rick told the boys that they would not catch anything on the squid bait because it is for salt water fishing. 

As you can see the boys were right again.  I think daddy should start listening to the boys...LOL

Blueberries picking...

On the way down to mom's I saw a place were you can go pick your own blueberries.  On our way home I stopped to have the boys pick some yummy blueberries.  They had nets over the blueberries and the boys asked me way.  I explained to them that is the only way to keep the birds from eating all the good berries.  While we were picking the berries we found a couple of birds in the net. We were able to get one bird out but the other bird wings were stuck in the net.  Luke was so worried about the bird and I ask me to tell the guy.  I let them know and the guy told Luke that they will get the bird out of the net and not hurt him.  It was hot picking the berries but it was fun.

4th of July fun...

I took the boys down to my home town to enjoy the park front festival.  With the hot weather they didn't get to ride the rides, but we did enjoy the hometown parade.  The boys like to see the cheerleaders, hear the three high school bands play and see all the fire tree. The night before we enjoy the fun time with sparklers.

Big storm....

The big storm last week left my mom and in laws without power for a couple of days. we were lucky this time to keep our power.   Rick's parents had some trees branches down and no power.  My mom had many big branches down and several big trees uprooted. Also no power for her.  Tuesday before the fourth of July the boys and I headed down to mom's.  There is lots of clean up to do in Gallipolis with many tree branches in piles alone the streets.  Crazy how quickly Mother Nature can take down a big old tree.

Luke is growing like a weed. So it was time to upgrade to the next size in a bike.

Cousins TIme...

The boys and I headed out to spend time with Aunt Jayna, Rylie and Alivia.  We had so much fun swimming in the pond, eating ice cream and running around.  Mommy and Aunt Jayna enjoy waching us and talking.  It was a great day...We love our cousins,,,,
