The Works...

Daddy had another work day, so we went on another one of mommy's adventures.  This time we headed east to Newark.  There they have a place called "The Works".  It is a hands on art and teleology center.  The boys enjoy all the activies and walking through the history museum. We had a fun day even with the rain and cold.

Road trip to Marion....

Daddy had to do some work this weekend so the boys and I took another adventure around Ohio.  We headed north to Marion.  I found in my book that there was a rock that continously moves on it's own.  However I looked and looked but could never find the moving rock.  So we moved on and stop to check out President Harding's house.  The boys stood on the front porch where he did his campaigning.  In the history books they called this "The front porch campaign".  We also explored an old voting booth, the people must have been tall back then. The voting booths were up to my chin. To round our day out we stopped by the popcorn museum.  All the popcorn poppers were really cool to look at and the tour guide turn on a few to let us see how they worked.  On our way out we each go a box of popcorn.  The boys enjoyed theirs on the way back home.  We had a great day and marked off couple of places in our book.  Where to go next????

Park Fun....

The boys and I love to travel all around the Columbus area looking for new parks to explore.  One of our favorites is High Banks.  Once you are on the hiking trails, it feels like we are far away from the hustle bustle of the city. We love it.

Field Trip...Kurt's

Kurt's field trip to "Sharon Woods" today was lots of fun.  We enjoyed a tram ride through the park looking at the birds and other wildlife.  Kurt also got to touch a snake and a toad.  I think the best part of the day for the kids was playing on the playground.

Boys will be boys... When their is a tree to climb they will find a way to climb it.... Thanks to Uncle Harvey and Aunt Robin for having trees for them to climb....

Road Trip....

Tuesday the boys and I headed to a park to have a picnic and explore.  I found a park over by Hillard called "The Homestead".  The wind made it a little chilly so we had our picnic in the van.  After we were done eating we put on some warm clothes and headed out to explore... What a wonderful chilly day.. Can't wait for many more short trips this summer....
