Zoo fun again.....

Going to the zoo doesn't mean you always have to go see the animals.  The boys found this out a couple of weeks ago.  They were so excited about going to the zoo, but when mom went a different way.  They started asking a ton of questions. I look at my two confessed little boys and told them they were going to ride.  The smiles I got were priceless.  At the Columbus Zoo there is a  area called"Jack Landing" were there are fair like rides.  I got the tickets and the boys had a blasted....

Bikes....

I remember how happy I was when Luke learn how to ride his tricycle. It seem like that was not long ago but now he has learn how to ride Kurt's 12" bike. So you can guess that going on a bike ride ends up in a fight before we leave the house. Daddy and I decided it was time to upgrade Kurt to a 16" bike.  We now have big boy bikes and cool horns Luke picked out.  Going on a bike ride is back to being exciting and fun.

Clippers game.....

We live in a great neighborhood, with great people has our neighbors.  One neighbors was going out of town and could not use their clippers tickets.  So they asked me if I would like to take the boys.  So in the hottest day of June. The boys and I headed down town to a clippers game.  We had great seats right behind home plate.  The seats were really hot, the sun was really hot, but we stuck it out for 4 innings. Kurt and Luke enjoyed watching the game.  We would like to go back when it is cooler day or a night game. 

Fishing report

Fishing has been good in the boat....

New Toy......

The weekend we got back from vacation, Rick's new toys was ready for pick up.  We were so excited to see how the boys would react to our new boat. 

When Rick pull in the drive way Kurt kept saying "new boat???? our new boat????? Luke was just jumping with joy. They both was smiling from ear to ear and talking a mile a min.  They couldn't wait to get out on the lake.  However rain set in and we had to wait till the next day. 

Sunday morning the boys were up and ready to hit the water.  Here is our first trip on the boat.....Also Nana got to join us.

Pool fun....and the Alligators

The boys love the beach but they also love to swim in the pool.  Our two water bugs....

There was also three alligators who live in the pond areas around the condo. I let Rick, Pappy and Grandma take the boys to see the alligators. Kurt and Luke thought it was really cool to see. I however didn't see the alligators.  In the zoo ok....at a alligator farm ok.....out on it's own not ok......

Ocean fishing....

On the beach you could see people fishing all day. We talk to some of the fisherman to see if they were catching anything.  The report we got was sharks, and sting rays.  Now.... I was not happy to hear what they were catching and how close they were to the shore.  The lifeguard told us that the sting ray were close to shore because of mating season.  So....  you can guess Rick went out and got a fishing pole and license.  He had to try his luck at fishing in the ocean. 

In three days of fishing we can say daddy got a shark and a little bait fish.  Way to go Daddy....

The one thing Rick had that the other fisherman didn't was the best bait fisherman on the beach....

Putt Putt Golf...

You can't go on vacation in this family with out going putt putt golfing.  If it was up to Kurt we would golf every night.  We did golf four nights out of eight on this vacation.

Dolphin Cruise...

One evening after dinner we took a dolphin sunset cruise.  We learned a lot about the island and we even got to see some dolphin.  The sunset was beautiful.  However the cruise seem a little long to Kurt.  He informed me that he got a little bored.  I'm thinking he just want to go putt putt golfing and not sit on a boat.  LOL....

Beach 2...

Luke and I took a walk on the beach looking for sea shells.  We both had a really big surprise when we found a star fish.  So I picked it up and told Luke we needed to put it back in the ocean.  I have never seen a star fish alive so it was a treat for me to see and share with Luke...

We continued our walk talking about the star fish we found. Then Luke sees another star fish on the sand and picked it up.  He told me he would like to put the Star fish back in the ocean on his own....

Our own little Diego.... We saved three other star fish on our walk.  What a great walk....

Sorry it's been over a week since my last blog.  We were enjoying the sun and sand of Hilton Head islands.  I have about three to four blog posts to do on our vacation.  I hope to post one every night, so look for them. 

Anyway we took off after Kurt's last day of school to enjoy a 10 day trip. Hilton Head Island is a great beach. There were lots of sea life on the beach for us to explore. The weather was wonderful-hot but nice breeze.  Here are a few pictures from the beach.
