by myself....

After we got our haircut Kurt really wanted to go fishing again.  Nana and I took him back over to the marina to fish from the dock.  It was a nice cool cloudy day to relax and fish.  Luke did some on and off fishing but really like running down the little hill of the dock.  All the sudden Kurt was telling me he had a fish on...really a fish on.... Here is my five year old with his first fish without Daddy around.  All on his own from catching to releasing the Saugeye.  He was so proud and we were so proud of him...

When we sent Daddy this picture to his work.. He asked if he was fishing in his spot. I told Daddy "Yes" and the next thing we knew Daddy was on his way home from work... You can guess what they did that night...  If you guess fishing from the boat, you are correct.

Fishing alone...

While Daddy was working Kurt really wanted to go fishing.  So I finally told him I will take him fishing.  While I cleaned up dinner, Kurt and Luke got the fishing stuff packed and ready to go.

Nana and I took the boys over to the marina to fish from the shore.

Luke was having fun playing around the lake.  Then he ask me to play ball and I told him we didn't have a ball.  He then informed me that he packed two balls in the van. Yes their Daddy has taught them to pack everything....

We didn't catch any fish so we packed it up and took Nana to "Sticky Fingers"
for some icecream....yum yum

Tee pee...

Rick and the boys went out fishing along the shorelines of Alum Creek before dusk.  While Kurt was fishing Luke was exploring the woods.  Luke wanted to build a fort and Daddy help him start a tee pee.  Here is Luke in the begining stages of his tee pee...

Luke was working hard on adding sticks to his tee pee to make it bigger.  Here are the boys in the fished tee pee..

FYI: Kurt has his helmet on because they rode their bike in to the shoreline.

Last day of Pre-K

Kurt's last day of Pre-K was today.  They had a program and then a little ceremony in their classroom.  He did a great job.  We were very proud of him.  I can't believe in August he will be in Kindergarten.  Time flys by too fast....

Townsend Samuel

Last week Uncle Clem text mommy to see if we would be home on Wednesday.  We were going to be home, so Uncle Clem asked if they could come down for a visit.  We were so excited when mommy told us that Townsend, Uncle Clem and Aunt Kelbug was coming down for the night.  He is so cute, we like holding him and giving him kisses. Thanks Uncle Clem for coming down so we could meet Townsend and see you and Aunt Kelbug.

Cincinnati weekend

What a great time we had over the weekend.  We traveled down to Cincinnati to enjoy a couple of days in a hotel and go visit the Newport aquarium.  Mom went down with us to also enjoy a little getaway.  It was a great way to spend mother's day weekend.

New fish tank....

We put the big fish tank up in the playroom  for the boys this week.  It took a couple of days to get it perfect but we did and love it.  We have rocks from Alum Creek, sticks for Luke's collection and rock from both boys.  If I were a fish this is were I would hope to be.  We have four goldfish, two snails and two procostuimms (how ever you spell it) fish. So far all is great in the fish world...

Baby Gorilla...

The baby gorilla at the zoo is getting a little bigger ever year.  We've enjoy watching him grow up through out the year.  Today he was interested in what Kurt had in his mouth. I bet he would like a sucker too.  It was interesting to watch  him interact with the boys.  Like one child to other child.  Very cute....

Canada....

We are taking the boys to Canada for summer vacation.  So we have been talking to them about what they will see, what they will do and how much fun they will have.

The other morning the boys were playing in their playroom for a long time.  I when down to check on them because they were being way to quite.  When I got down they both jump up and say "Hey Mom we made Canada".  It shows us that they do listen when we talk and how excited they are about going.  We are looking forward to sharing Daddy's childhood vacation spots with the boys.
