Big One.....

The boys went fishing the other night at the pond.  Rick called me about 10 minutes after they left and told me I had to come over to see the fish Luke just got.  I ran over to get pictures of his fish.....

Ohio River...

This past weekend we went back to visit Grandma, Pappy, and Great Gram.  We took the boat back with us so we could take the boys out on the Ohio River.  In Wheeling,WV they were having an Italian festival along the river front.  Rick had a great idea to take a boat ride up the river to the festival to get lunch. It was a hot hot day but going fast in the boat was cool. Along the way we pointed out sites to the boys- where I caught my big catfish,where Daddy got his big cat and where uncle JJ got his big cat.  We also got to see coal loading on a barge.  Plus the understanding that one side of the river is Ohio and the other side of the river is West Virgina. 

We made it to the festival but there was no room at dock for the boat.  Rick dropped me and the boys off to go get lunch.  On our way  up the stairs to the food area they had the temperature displayed at 92 degrees.  I got a lemonade, a bucket of fries, two pieces of pizza, italian sub, and a italian sausage sub. While waiting on the food the boys and I were so hot that we were sweating just standing there.  I also was holding hot food. I told the boys when we get back on the boat it will cool down.

Got back to the boat and had a good lunch. Then the boat started beeping.... Rick and I didn't know what was wrong.  It did it again so Rick checked out the big motor.  Low on oil....yes low on oil. Good thing we had the little motor. We came up the River fast but we went down the river slow.... 2 hours later we stopped at Moundsville to get oil and made it off the river by 4:00.

The boys were so good.  They enjoyed the sites, the food, and even the slow ride back. Long day but memiores are what we make....

Dancing in the Rain...

We were going to head out and take a family bike ride when all of a sudden rain.  Lots and lots of rain started coming down.  So we did the next best thing..... danced and played in the rain.

New Library....

Delaware county passed a tax levy to build a new library.  Rick was not happy at all about the levy, but the boys and I enjoy going to the library. 

Heat Wave...

They only way to beat the heat is to stay in doors... HOW BORING...so we did the next best thing.....we went bowling! This was the first time the boys ever been to a bowling ally.  We had so much fun and they can't wait to go again.

Rocks.....

Rocks.....rocks......rocks....the boys love to look for rocks and bring them all home.  I told the boys we needed to paint the rocks.  They loved the idea.  So off to the store to get finger paint and new art supplies to put in their new art center.  While I cooked lunch the artists were hard at work.

4th Weekend...

What a busy but fun 4th of July weekend.  We got to spend the whole weekend with Nana.  The boys got to swim in the pool and play in the new sprinkler on Friday.  Saturday we enjoyed seeing fireworks from the boat. On Sunday We went to John's and Laura's for a party and lots of fireworks (Thanks John).  Then home to do sparklers with Noah.  On Monday We went to the 4th of July parade and came home with three bags of candy.  Kurt loved seeing the firetrucks. Then we had a cookout with aunt Robin and uncle Harvey. It was so yummy....Plus we love to see aunt Robin and uncle Harvey. To end a great weekend we went to the Delaware for the big big fireworks.  Fun summer time holiday....

We love to be out on the boat. So instead of running around trying to get dinner done, so we can get out on the water. I decide to make dinner to go.  Rick and the boys enjoyed having their dinner on the water.  I enjoyed relaxing and eating while the boat rocked us.  So much fun......and more to come..o

Daddy day.....

Rick not only get to enjoy father's day but also his birthday.....The boys and I always try to make daddy's weekend extra special. Not only does he get his lots of  presents. We also get him a Ice cream cake... yummy yummy.... this year we also got to spend father's day weekend with Pappy. What fun we had fishing and enjoying family.
