Sled rinding with cousin........

With the little bit of snow we got over Christmas. It was a enough snow to go sled riding.  The girls have never been sled riding before.  With living in UT, CA, and TN, they have never really had the chance.  So Jayna and I got the kids all dress warm and snug to go outside with Rick, Jason and Pappy.

Of course you are thinking that they will be done in a 10 mins and ready to come back in. This was not the case with the Mokros girls and the Mokros boys.  They had Rick, Jason and Pappy sled riding for a hour to two hours.  Rylie and Alivia loved it and could not get enough.  Kurt and Luke loved it and could not get enough.  Jason, Rick and Pappy love it and could not get enough of the kids laughing and yelling.

Christmas morning.....

Christmas morning is priceless with these four angels.

When all they want to do is open up presents and not pose for the picture  lol.....

ready for Santa

Before we nestled our little bundle of joys into bed.  We had to put the reindeer food out on the lawn and get the cookies ready for Santa.  Kurt also worked on writing the note for Santa.

While vision of sugar plums dance in their heads.  Jolly old St. Nick did come to enjoy the cookies and leave the boys goodies.  The magic of Christmas. :)

Reindeer Food......

Today the boys and I made reindeer food to put out on the lawn on Christmas eve.  I told the boys that while Santa is in the house the reindeer need to have a special treat.  So we decorated bags for Kurt, Luke, Rylie and Alivia.  Then we mixed oatmeal, honey nut chex, and sprinkles.  Now the reindeer can eat their special treat while Santa is eating his special cookies.

Proud Parents....

Today was Kurt's first Christmas program.  When he walked in my heart swelled and my eyes teared up.  He looked so big and handsome. When Kurt found us he put up his thumb up and winked. This is the way Daddy taught the boys to tell us they are ok with out words.
The program was so cute and all the classes did a great job.  We love you Kurt and are very proud of you.

The Heisman....

I was giving Luke a bath during the Heisman presentation. When Kurt comes running back to tell me that Cam Newton won the Heisman.  Then he was telling me that the Heisman is the top trophy you can get in football.  I told him yes the Heisman mean that you are a the best football player on and off the field.  He then looked at me and said "Mom I'm going to win the Heisman."  I just looked at him and thought about what one of Kurt's teachers said to me. She said that Kurt has a silent confidence about him and  I saw it that night.

Grandparents.....

My boys are very lucky to have both my mom and Rick's mom and dad as a part of their lives.  Not only do the boys learn from Rick and I, but they also learn from their grandparents.  I was told one day that children who are close to their grandparents grow up more rounded and ready for life. Not only are they getting their parents influence, but also the grandparents influence.  Which I think can be more helpful in many ways to both the parent and the grandchild. We love being so close to our grandparents.  The boys love you Nana, Grandma and Pappy, and Rick and I love you all too.. Thank you for being here for us and for supporting us......

Lifetime friends.......

Kurt and Anna have been friends from the time they were born.  Dana and Rick have been friends from the early childhood years on Pipe Creek Rd.  Now I'm good friends with Dana.  Funny how the world works. I look at Kurt and Anna and see a lifelong friendship in the making.  I'm luck to have Anna's mom has a best friend. So there will be many more fun times together in the life of these two friends.

Sleding all the way

It was the first snow fall of the season and Kurt could not wait to get dress and play in the white stuff.  So after 15 minutes of getting both boys dressed, 10 minutes of found the sleds, and 10 minutes of me getting dressed.  Seeing Kurt run down our "little" hill with sled in hand , jumping on the sled, Time stopped for me........

This was Luke's frist time to really get out in the snow and play.  He loved being pulled in the sled.  All I heard was "mommy pull me more...."

Santa....

We are so lucky living so close to Alum Creek State Park.  During this time of year at the marina area they put up a display of lights.  They also set up Santa's village were they give out hot chocolate and cookies. The best part is you can visit with Santa.  They boys always do good seeing Santa over at Alum. I think the reason to this is you get to visit with Santa in a little room with just you and a elf. It's a nice way to spend a evening with the boys and enjoy the joys of Christmas.

Cousin Jessica came up today to do Christmas cookies with us.  We had so much fun making the cookies, cutting the cookies out and the best part decorating the cookies. They are not only pretty but very good. Thank you so much Jessica for spending time with us and making cookies.  We love you Jessica....

Wildlights.....

Sunday evening mom, the boys, and I got all bundled up to go see Christmas lights.  The LED Christmas lights of the zoo.  It was beautiful and the boys really enjoyed seeing all the different colors of the lights.  The zoo did a wonderful job on the lights and getting everyone in the mood for the season.  I hope to take the boys back before Christmas is over.
