Last Day of School...

Today was Kurt last day of school.  I can't believe preschool is done and he is ready for Pre-K.  He is getting so big so fast. 

Today he had a spring program and got his portfolio and certificate.

New Captain...

Move over daddy there is a new captain on the boat.  Notice his fingers pointed for extra concentration.......

robin vs. worm vs. the mokros boys

The boys stole this worm from a red robin in the yard so they could put it the worm box.  :)

I don't know to say poor worm or poor robin.  Luke did tell me it was a bird robin and not aunt Robin.  I guess I didn't know the difference.  The worm did not make it to the worm box but it is in my flowers pot instead to live another day. 

Fishing Report....

As soon as the sun popped up Kurt was ready to fish.  So off to a weekend full of fishing. 

With it being hot, the boys join the fish in the water.  I would like to post that we do have fish for dinner.

Hair Cuts.....

For Easter the boys got this little pets that grow grass hair.  They didn't really understand what they were till we planted the grass.  After a couple of days Luke saw the grass coming up and go so excited.  Then he ran to get Kurt to come see.  It was priceless to see their faces and hear their excitement. 

A week goes by and the grass keeps growing so I told the boys it was time to cut the pets hair.  I never seen the boys run so fast to get their scissors.  I think the pictures speaks for themselves.

Don't worry they are going to have to cut hair again soon.  They grass is growing...:):)

Little Rick

Kurt is so much like his daddy.  When he gets up all he can talk about is fishing.  Were they are fishing that night and if they are going to take the boat.  What lure is he going to fish with and anything else about fishing.

Now Luke is so much like mommy.  When he hear Kurt talking about fishing. He is talk about what snacks he wants on the boat.  If mommy has gummy worms or not and don't forget the juice boxes. 

Kurt will fish and fish and fish.  Luke will fish for a little while.  Then he wants snack, (even though he had dinner 20 mins before). After snack he will row the boat around so Kurt can fish or daddy take the boat on shore.  This is when he plays in the rock and looks for nuts.

Tonight we had dinner on the boat.  Luke was so happy and I loved being on the boat again.  For dinner I took over  pizza, watermelon, noodles, chips and fruit roll ups.  Then daddy took us up on shore.  It was a relaxing evening on the boat watching Rick and Kurt fish and Luke just having fun.

Joy of summer......

  I was going to work on cleaning the house today but the sun is up the air is hot.  Perfect day for the pool.  The boys had breakfast and out they went.  Rick and I got everything ready for a day of fun. The boys were so excited when they seen the pool.  It was great.  I love hearing Kurt and Luke laugh and watching them jump in the pool. The began of fun day in the sun. 

 

Fun in Columbus...

The boys and I went to The Franklin Park Conservatory today.  We enjoyed seeing all the "cool" plants and the butterflies.  However we all know my boys really loved the "big" gold fish.

Kurt is not the only fisherman in the family... Luke is also a great fisherman....

Zoo Time.....

Having a zoo membership is the best investment we have done.    We go for a couple hours than head back home for lunch and down time.  I took the boys to the zoo yesterday.  They picked  to see the gorillas and the aquarium.  One of many trips to come....

never know.....

When he should be sleeping....he is making a road with his books.......maybe he'll design roads in his future????

The boys are great helpers in the kitchen.   So this night I had a very fun project for them to do for dinner. They got to clean the corn...

They did a great job and had so much fun.  Plus it was a big help to me.

Fish on.....

In between rain drops the boys got to go fishing.  Kurt's first cast made the trip.... He pulls in a nice size largemouth bass.  Daddy said Kurt picked out the oldest fishing lure in the tackle box.  Goes to show you who is the fisherman in our house.  :):)
