Apple Picking.....

What a adventurous day. We headed out to Lynde farms to get apples for our apple pie.  On our way we had to find a different route because of the wreck that closed the interstate.  Even though we could not pick the apples ourselves.  We enjoyed exploring the apples trees and checking out the apples that have fallen.  The store was fun with lots of different goodies. 

Once back home we worked hard at making a home made apple pie.  We helped mom mix the flour, shorting, and water.  We also got to help roll out the dough and put the apple mixture mom made into the pie crust.  What wonderful smells through out the kitchen and a pretty pie out of the oven.
