The boys wanted mommy and daddy to dress up for trick or treat night. So as you can see I'm Thomas and Daddy is a fisherman. We would also like to say thank you Nana for passing out candy so we can trick or treat together as a family.

Trick or Treat.....
The boys had so much fun running from house to house getting candy from all the neighbors. This year I was told by Kurt to stay on the sidewalk while they went up to get their candy. Our boys are growing up :( :(

Pumpkin carving....
Today we work on carving our pumpkin for Halloween night. The boys enjoy watching Mommy and Nana clean out the pumpkin because it was "to gross" for them. Luke helped mommy draw his face on his pumpkin and then pushed out the eyes, nose and mouth. Kurt did his pumpkin on his own this year with supervision. He did a great job and took his time.

pumpkin pie.....
I did it.....I made pumpkin pie from scratch.... I first had to clean out the pumpkins and steam them on the oven till the meat came out of the pumpkin.
It took about 10 mins to clean out the pumpkin and 20-30 mins to steam. During this time I made the crust and baked it for 10 mins. After I cleaned out the meat of the pumpkins. I used my hand blender and made the pumpkin puree.
Then the fun part....mixing all the spices in the pumpkin puree. Then I put the mixture into the pie crust and baked for 45-60 mins.... Looks like pumpkin pie...now just waiting for Rick to do the taste testing....
After making two pies I still had some mixture left so I made pumpkin bread....

reuseable...
Daddy had to get a new laptop for work. What do you do with old laptops that are still nice but not fast enough. We had found a use for Daddy's old laptop.
Not to bad to be three and five and have a laptop to "work" on....
pbskids.com and nickjr.com have really fun activities and games. Kurt is really good with the mouse and Luke enjoys watching.

Evans Orchard....
On Sunday before we headed back to Columbus. We went to a apple/pumpkin farm. It had a kids area with a big slide, sandbox full of corn, tractor ride, big tires to play on and rolling around in. It had a petting zoo area, pony rides, and hayride. The food was also so very good like kettle corn popcorn, funnel cakes, apple cider donuts, and the best apple cider slush. So good I wish I had one right now!!!! Thank you Uncle Paul and Aunt Amanda for taking us to this really cool place....
